Church’s Butchers Essex Hog Roast

Church’s will take care of the entire hog roast for you to ensure your wedding or event runs smoothly. Two staff will arrive an hour prior to service to set-up our equipment, to ensure everything is in place in order to serve your guests. Once we begin serving, we will remain on site for a further hour and a half to ensure guests are well accommodated for. At the end of service, any leftovers will be left with you in insulated trays to keep the food warm!

You Don't Need To Provide Anything!

Church’s Hog Roasts are totally self sufficient. Customers are NOT required to provide us with anything – we do not even need a power supply.

At the end of service, we take all our rubbish too.

Our hog roasts use a whole, Essex pig, which is slow-cooked for 6 hours in a specialist hog roast oven. This is done at our catering facility in Epping, Essex which has a 5-star food hygiene rating.

Adding Some Extras

‍Hog roasts are delicious. That’s a fact. But what really makes them delicious is the addition of artisan rolls made by our local baker, and home-made apple sauce. These are both included in the original price of the hog roast. But for those looking to add something extra special, we can also provide pork and sage stuffing, salads such as mixed leaf, potato, rice and pasta, as well as home-made coleslaw.

Hog Roasts Feed 80-100 people. Perfect for Weddings, Parties, Corperate Events and Festivals

‍‍A whole pig weighs in at around 60kg and that will feed 80-100 guests. If you’re planning a hog roast for larger numbers, we can look at your options. We can also offer two hog roasts for those feeding up to 200 individuals.

Quality Hog Roasts From Essex

To us, it is imperative that the quality of the pig is the best it can possibly be. We have been established for over 130 years, it is fair to say that we know what makes a good quality pig! Our pigs are sourced locally from a farm in Fairstead, Essex. Using this farm we can ensure a high standard of quality and animal welfare too.
